The past 4 weekends in a row have been fantastically chaotic.
Weekend #1: Vegas at Tyson's
Weekend #2: Backpacking Havasupai
Weekend #3: Vegas at Tyson's
Weekend #4: Backpacking Coyote Gulch
All were fun and enjoyable experiences, but I must say I have absolutely no desire to go on another road trip for quite some time. I know that I am a go-getter, but sometimes it is necessary to kick off your boots and relax and enjoy the simple nothings that some weekends have to offer.
. . . . .
That first weekend Tyson and I went down to Vegas we brought back up his dirt bikes, and as a result he found it necessary to teach this accident-prone girlfriend of his how to ride.
The bike itself was much too heavy and much too tall for me to even reach the ground, but after much self-doubting I gave it a go. Tyson is an amazing teacher and made sure I knew exactly what I was doing and where I was going-props to you Tys. I picked it up rather quickly and wasn't at all half bad, HOWEVER,
on my last run I tried to pop up over a little lip of the trail that was rather sketchy and the next thing I knew I was flying over the handlebars and landed face first on the ground. I was lucky enough not to break anything and only came out with a few lots of bruises and a sprained ankle.
In other chaotic news, there are only two weeks left of school which means it is crunch time. Lord have mercy on my soul!
