It is no secret that my family and I have a strong love for Moab. We returned once more to vacation for several days and enjoy the sun. Wait, did I say sun? I meant rain and thunderstorms. Nonetheless, it was still a great time and great company.
Oh darling, lets be adventurers.

Zipline
It has been quite a while since I have posted anything, especially since so much has happened!
I was gone from Vegas, to Havasupai, to Vegas, to Capital Reef four consecutive weekends in a row. Havasupai is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I plan on taking my bestie and my Dad back with me sometime.
School is finally out and those heinous finals are done!
Last weekend my family came into town and we had the opportunity to go down to Moab once again and spent several days hiking around and exploring all that that beautiful town has to offer.
I must say, though, my favorite part of this last week was when my family, Tyson and I went ziplining down Provo Canyon.

Chaos
The past 4 weekends in a row have been fantastically chaotic.
Weekend #1: Vegas at Tyson's
Weekend #2: Backpacking Havasupai
Weekend #3: Vegas at Tyson's
Weekend #4: Backpacking Coyote Gulch
All were fun and enjoyable experiences, but I must say I have absolutely no desire to go on another road trip for quite some time. I know that I am a go-getter, but sometimes it is necessary to kick off your boots and relax and enjoy the simple nothings that some weekends have to offer.
. . . . .
That first weekend Tyson and I went down to Vegas we brought back up his dirt bikes, and as a result he found it necessary to teach this accident-prone girlfriend of his how to ride.
The bike itself was much too heavy and much too tall for me to even reach the ground, but after much self-doubting I gave it a go. Tyson is an amazing teacher and made sure I knew exactly what I was doing and where I was going-props to you Tys. I picked it up rather quickly and wasn't at all half bad, HOWEVER,
on my last run I tried to pop up over a little lip of the trail that was rather sketchy and the next thing I knew I was flying over the handlebars and landed face first on the ground. I was lucky enough not to break anything and only came out with a few lots of bruises and a sprained ankle.
In other chaotic news, there are only two weeks left of school which means it is crunch time. Lord have mercy on my soul!

Oh Sunshine!
Over the weekend I was able to go down to Vegas with a friend to pick up his dirt bikes. While there I was lavishly spoiled and enjoyed warm weather and great company. This was the first time in a long time that I have been on a boat and I was immediately reminded of why I need to be wealthy...for the toys. Why else? ;)
The sun was shining so beautifully over Lake Mead and it was hard to believe that I had been snowboarding just days before.
Its safe to say that I am officially ready for summer and the adventures that it brings!

Shelby Candid
If anyone asked me to pick a picture that best represented me, I honestly think this would be the one.
Not that this picture is new, but I can't help but crack up every time I see it. I realize that I look "special" and maybe even a bit drugged, but I took this picture immediately after I left the chiropractors office and was laughing hysterically because I was driving around in a neck brace.

Boyfriend pushes Girlfriend off cliff
This video sincerely cracks me up.
Turns out weeks later the couple did end up breaking up, but for other reasons. Maybe he was a little too pushy? (insert laugh here).
Also, why am I not friends with these people!?
